Last-Ireland ; is a training programme and support structure to help the
scientific community in Ireland to use research animals in accordance with best international and national practices.
Courses are structured as Common ‘Day 1’ and a species specific ‘Day 2’
It is possible to sign up for a ‘Day 1′ course. Complete that exam and subsequently do a species specific ‘Day 2‘ course (e.g. Rodent, Aquatic, Wildlife or Large Animal)
We also offer ‘Blended courses’ which can be given to small groups.
These are presented in a face to face format by a mentor using
prerecorded material.
(If you would like to arrange one of these please contact us )
HPRA often accept the Modular training courses from the UK and
other Member States (if a Irish ‘legal module’ is done)
Dates and Locations of courses run in the UK by the ‘Universities Training Group can be obtained by application to sec@last-ireland.ie
