Wildlife online module is aimed at students who will be undertaking studies in an outdoor or ‘wild’ environment.
Students will typically be involved in studying the habitats and behaviour of animals in the natural environment both terrestrial, aquatic and marine.
These animals are protected by wildlife and environmental legislation and are often on public grounds such as national parks. Access can require complex permissions.
The module will address the complex legal regulations which apply.
Experts on Avian, Mammalian, Aquatic and Marine environments share their experiences and guide students in the areas of capture and handling of the various species.
Veterinary experts describe the challenging aspects of anaesthesia, analgesia ,surgery and euthanasia in the field.
