• General biology/physiology of fish with emphasis on systems affected by adverse welfare condition
• Biology/physiology, husbandry of zebra fish and the welfare implications of their use as an experimental model in medical science
• The husbandry and handling of aquaria, farmed and wild fish and the impact (including diseases) on welfare of their use as experimental models
•  Welfare, stress and pain in fish
• Experimental design: Case studies
• Euthanasia and humane end-points
