Last Ireland<\/em>\u00a0 is a programme of education to support and help the\u00a0scientific community in Ireland to use research animals in accordance with best international and national practices. HPRA require that anybody applying for an individual authorisation will have completed \u00a0both a \u201ccore modules\u201d \u00a0and a \u201cspecies specific\u201d modules. The species specific module you choose will depend on your area of work.<\/p>\n \u00a0 Courses are structured as Common ‘Core Module’<\/strong> <\/a>and a species specific ”Species specific <\/a><\/strong>module’<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n A core module course is a cohort class which covers the core EU modules, \u00a0whereas a species specific\u00a0 course is self directed, fully online, covering the species specific EU modules ,<\/p>\n It is possible to sign up for a ‘core modules\u00a0<\/strong> course, complete that exam, then \u00a0subsequently complete a species-specific ‘species specific <\/b>\u00a0<\/a>course (e.g. Rodent<\/a>, Aquatic,<\/a> Wildlife<\/a> ,\u00a0Large Animal. <\/a>Dog& Cat, <\/a>Surgica<\/a>l, Laboratory pigs<\/a>)<\/p>\n HPRA <\/a>often accept the modular training courses from the UK and\u00a0other\u00a0 Member States (if an Irish ‘legal module’<\/a><\/em> is done) Please note This page will be shutting down shortly .
